Climate change will affect the way cities work substantially. Flooding and urban heating are among most tangible consequences in around globe. Extreme hydro-meteorological events likely increase future due to climate change. Making climate-resilient is therefore an urgent challenge sustain living. To adapt of change, new ideas concepts need be adopted. This oftentimes requires action from different stakeholder groups citizens. In other words, adaptation needs governance. Facilitating such governance for thus a big increasing planning. Smart tools its embedding smart promising help this respect. what extent can use digital knowledge technologies collaborative planning setting instrumental facilitating adaptation? question entails visualising effects interventions dialogue between governments, businesses as engineering companies, The aim thematic issue explore how application planning, embedded governance, contribute provide adaptation.
